Feb 12 is Food Freedom Day in Canada
Food Freedom Day is on Thursday, February 12. This is the day when the average Canadian has earned enough income to pay his or her grocery bill for the entire year. In many parts of the world, the cost of food is significantly higher as apercentage of income. In observing Food Freedom Day, we acknowledge the role ofCanadian farmers in providing consumers with safe and affordable food.
